In a single year, 3,012 children and teens were killed by gunfire in the United States. That is one child every three hours; eight children every day; and more than 50 children every week. And every year, at least 4 to 5 times as many kids suffer non-fatal firearm injuries. Quadir Hutchins was 3 years old when he took a bullet to head while sitting in the back seat of his sister's car. Nearly a year later he bears the scars of this violence and endures surgery to replace a piece of his skull.
